Welcome to Representative Team Management at Pine Rivers Netball Association.
Our Team Managers play an important role in the successful delivery of the PRNA Representative Program and are a key connection between athletes, families, coaches and the Association.
The Team Manager works closely with the coaching team to ensure each team is organised, informed and supported throughout its representative season.
Being a Team Manager requires more than attending competition days. Managers need to be prepared, organised, approachable, discreet and available to support their team throughout the program.
PRNA will provide information, resources and support to assist Team Managers in their role.

Masters Representative Program
Women’s and Mixed Masters, subject to team nominations
Team Manager appointments will be made according to the needs of each team and the overall Representative Program.
Our Team Managers are an important part of the team environment. We are looking for people who are:
The Team Manager is responsible for supporting the effective administration and organisation of their allocated team.
Responsibilities may include:
The Team Manager supports the administration and organisation of the team. Coaching, athlete selection and on-court performance decisions remain the responsibility of the appointed coaching and selection personnel.
Before submitting an Expression of Interest, prospective Team Managers should consider the time and availability required for the relevant program.
Team Managers are expected to be available for the requirements of their appointed team, which may include:
Training
Attendance at training where required to support team administration, communication and organisation.
Lead-Up Carnivals
Managers should be prepared and available to attend all scheduled lead-up carnivals associated with their team's program.
Competition
Attendance at scheduled competition rounds where required, including GBNL for relevant teams.
Major Events
Availability for the entirety of the team's major competition, including Junior State Age, Tigers Cup, Senior State Age or other relevant events.
Travel & Accommodation
Where teams travel and stay together, Team Managers may be required to travel and stay with the team and assist with athlete supervision and team logistics.
Additional Program Requirements
Managers may also be required to attend meetings, uniform sessions, team activities or other events necessary for the successful delivery of the program.
The commitment varies between programs. Applicants should consider their availability carefully before nominating.
A strong relationship between the Team Manager and coaching team is essential to creating a positive representative environment.
Team Managers and coaches are expected to communicate regularly, plan ahead and work together to ensure athletes and families receive clear and consistent information.
The Team Manager takes primary responsibility for team administration and communication, allowing coaches to focus on athlete development, training and competition.
Any concerns or issues that cannot be resolved within the team should be referred through the appropriate PRNA channels.
Team Managers may have access to information about athletes, families and the Representative Program that is private, sensitive or confidential.
Managers are expected to exercise a high level of discretion and professionalism with any information obtained through their role.
Information should only be accessed, used or shared where it is necessary to perform the Team Manager role or where directed by PRNA.
Personal circumstances, athlete information, team matters and internal discussions must not be shared outside the appropriate channels.
Maintaining the trust and privacy of our athletes and families is an important responsibility of every PRNA Team Manager.
The safety and wellbeing of our athletes is a priority across the PRNA Representative Program.
All appointed Team Managers must:
Appointment to a Team Manager position will be conditional upon completion and maintenance of all required compliance requirements.
PRNA recognises the significant contribution our Team Managers make to the Representative Program.
Managers will be provided with information and resources to assist them in understanding and delivering their role.

Expressions of Interest will be invited for Team Manager positions across our Junior, Senior State Age, GBNL and Masters programs.
Applicants will have the opportunity to nominate their preferred program and age group.
Before nominating, applicants should ensure they are prepared to commit to the requirements of the relevant program, including training where required, lead-up carnivals, competition events and travel where applicable.
