Pine Rivers Netball Association (PRNA) is founded on the fundamental principles of commitment, resilience, inclusion, and respect for oneself and others. We believe that by demonstrating commitment to our clubs, officials, members, and the community, we can cultivate the optimal netball environment. Resilience is paramount in the development of exceptional netball players and officials. We are dedicated to fostering inclusion and ensuring the provision of exemplary facilities, policies, and programs that offer our community ample opportunities to engage. We consistently conduct ourselves with respect in all our endeavors, valuing not only our players, officials, members, and community, but also ourselves. Ultimately, the embodiment of these values leads to excellence in all our pursuits.
PRNA is located in the north of Brisbane and is the hub for netball in the Moreton Bay region. PRNA is a hugely popular Netball Association with over 2000 members and 13 Clubs. PRNA was first established in 1981 by Roslyn McKechnie as the first president and has grown from humble beginnings to be the vibrant and successful association that it is today.
We have a rich history of developing netballers who go on to represent at state, national and international elite levels and are proud to say that both Mahalia Cassidy and Stephanie Wood (Sunshine Coast Lightning) originated from Pine Rivers Netball Association Inc. We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of all connected with PRNA.
This ongoing effort has led to much success on the court with PRNA providing competitive representative teams from U12 to Masters as well as being involved in the Greater Brisbane Netball League (GBNL) competition where we enter Women's 16’s, 18’s, 19-23’s and Opens teams. Our hotly contested club competition sees teams from 13 clubs compete from U8 to Opens across winter and summer seasons. Our summer season also includes Men's and mixed competitions.
