Pine Rivers Netball Association

The 2027 Pre-Representative Program is open to players who:

• Are turning 11 years of age in 2027
• Are currently registered with a PRNA affiliated club
• Participate in the Pine Rivers Winter Day Season
• Are looking for additional opportunities to develop their netball skills
• Are interested in learning more about representative netball and potentially progressing into the 2028 PRNA Junior Representative Program

No previous representative experience is required to participate in the six-week development program.

The focus of Pre-Rep is on development, confidence and providing athletes with a positive introduction to the PRNA representative pathway.

PRNA will explore opportunities for Pre-Rep athletes to attend an appropriate representative carnival at the conclusion of the program.

If a suitable carnival opportunity is confirmed, a trial or selection process may be held following the six-week development program to select the team/s that will represent PRNA.

Participation in the Pre-Representative Program does not guarantee selection into a carnival team.

The 2027 Pre-Representative Program will run for six weeks, with sessions held on Tuesday evenings during May and June.

The program will introduce athletes to representative-style training while continuing to build strong fundamental netball skills.

Across the six weeks, athletes will work on:

• Ball skills and movement
• Footwork and change of direction
• Attacking skills
• Defensive skills
• Decision making and game understanding
• Teamwork and communication
• Match play

Sessions will be delivered by PRNA coaches in an age-appropriate, positive and development-focused environment.

The aim is to give athletes additional opportunities to develop their game while providing an introduction to the skills and training environment they may experience if they choose to progress into the 2028 Junior Representative Program.

May–June 2027 – Six-week Pre-Representative Development Program

Following completion of the six-week program, an additional trial or selection process may be held if a suitable representative carnival opportunity has been confirmed.

Exact session dates, times, nomination closing dates and any carnival selection information will be published prior to registrations opening.

Participation in the Pre-Representative Program will involve a program registration fee.

PRNA is committed to keeping development opportunities accessible and affordable for our families.

2027 program fees and registration information will be published prior to nominations opening.

If athletes are selected to participate in a representative carnival, any additional costs associated with that opportunity will be communicated to families prior to acceptance.
